Services We Offer


We offer a variety of counseling services to meet your needs. Some of our clients may begin in Individual Counseling and then decide their situation would better be addressed in Couples Counseling or Family Counseling. Other clients find online Virtual Life Coaching during a lunch break or in the comfort of their own home more convenient. Whatever modality you need, we can help you. All sessions are 55-60 minutes in length. Synergy Counseling, LLC does not bill insurance, however, we will provide you the necessary information required by your insurance company to submit a claim for reimbursement. If you are planning on reimbursement, please confirm all details with your insurance company prior to your first visit.


Individual Counseling


Individual counseling is a personal opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life. Individual counseling can help you deal with many personal topics in life such as depression, anxiety, trauma, marriage and relationship challenges, divorce recovery, parenting problems, school difficulties, transitions and anger management. Individual counseling is a collaborative effort between the therapist and client. The therapist will help you identify goals and work alongside you to help you achieve those goals. The process of individual therapy will challenge you in a safe and supportive environment to create the life you have always wanted. Permanent change can happen.

Couples Counseling


We offer pre-marital and marriage counseling with a strength-based approach. The foundation of any healthy and vibrant relationship is a strong friendship. This is the starting point for couple's counseling. We are made for connection through relationships. Marriage is a glorious and wonderful expression of our need to love and be loved just as we are. Marriage can also be very challenging. We will begin by looking at what works well in your relationship and helping you to strengthen your connection. Then, we will examine your relationship's negative patterns. Finally, you will learn new, healthy patterns of relating to help you create the relationship you have always wanted. If you are wholeheartedly committed to the process, it really is possible for you to have the marriage you want.

Family Counseling


Family counseling is often sought due to a life change or stress which negatively affects one or all areas of family closeness, family structure (rules and roles) or communication style. This mode of counseling can take a variety of forms. Sometimes it is best to see an entire family together for several sessions and sometimes it is best to see subsets of the family (kids only, parents only).  Common issues addressed in family counseling are concerns around parenting, sibling conflict, loss of family members, divorce, new members entering the family as with step-siblings, or dealing with a major move. Family therapy relies heavily on Systems Theory which believes that within the boundaries of the family system, patterns develop as certain family member's behavior is caused by and causes other family members’ behaviors in predictable ways. Maintaining the same pattern of behaviors within a system may lead to balance in the family system, but may also lead to dysfunction. Identifying these patterns of relating and introducing new healthier systemic patterns can cause radical, positive change in the emotional connectedness of the family unit which, after all, is what family is all about.

Virtual Life Coaching


We live in a society that encompasses virtual accessibility. Virtual life coaching can happen anywhere at anytime. Our clients live all over the world and love being in the comfort of their home or office as they create their lives. Many people find online coaching more effective for them as they are free to experience whatever rises to the top without any worry about having to hide their tear-stained face from others in the waiting room. For others, having quiet time before and after our meetings to journal, to plan what they want to talk about, or to take immediate action on all the new ideas that often surface in our sessions (instead of being immediately distracted by driving) is a crucial part of the experience. We will identify the barriers keeping you from what you want in your life, then create an action plan for permanent change. Happiness is attainable for you if you are willing to be honest with yourself and execute your plan.
